In addition tips for the regular brass Addi Click sets, we now also carry the sets in bamboo (perfect for those sensitive to metal needles) and sharp lace tips that are perfect for knitting with lighter weight yarns.
The bamboo needle tips come in sizes 4 - 10, 10 3/4 and 11. We have them all in stock.

Trendsetter Orbit at Gail Knits, Las Vegas

Also new from Trendsetter is a crazy and fun yarn called Orbit. It is a 47% acrylic/32% nylon/21% wool study in textures changing from fuzzy to shiny to wooly, and knits at one stitch = 1". A 200-gram hank has 31 yards, and it took about an hour to make a scarf using a #19 needle.
The colors we have in stock are Blues, Greens, Neutrals, Reds, and Oranges.

Also have in stock are the Fiesta Yarns Port of Call Colors.

The yarns available in the Port of Call colourways are:

KiMo Worsted: a 50% extra-fine merino and 50% silk blend with an average gauge of 17 sts and 23 rows to 4" on a #9 needle. A 100-gram hank has 220 yards.

LaLuz: a 100% spun mulberry silk with an average gauge of 23 sts and 29 rows to 4" on a #6 needle. A 2-oz hank has 210 yards.

LaBoheme: is one strand of brushed mohair/wool/nylon run together with a strand of rayon boucle. A 4-oz hank has 165 yards, and the average gauge is 18 sts and 25 rows to 4".

Gail has just designed a beautiful Lacy Cowl using The Great Adirondack Yarn Company's Smoochie and Trendsetter's classic Kid Seta together that will be a stunning addition to your wardrobe.
Smoochie, which is 225 yards of sock-weight yarn in a 85%/15% blend of superwash merino and polyester. The polyester is sparkle that runs all the way through, and it is really quite striking. It's a great sock yarn, but its uses are only limited by the imagination.

Sol de Grace is 100% cotton tape. It is so soft, it feels like a favorite t-shirt, and when it knits, it shades. The average gauge is 18 sts to 4" on a #9 needle. Gail is knitting a vest with with a drapey front out of this yarn. It is a loose guage of 15 sts to 4" on a #10, and a 100-gram ball has 220 yards.
Colors include rust/dark brown, blues, charcoal/eggplant, jade, bright yellow/orange, pale yellow/pink, gold/charcoal, and blue/green.

New from Elegant Yarns are Charming, Ethereal and Kaleidoscope.
Charming is 100% fingering weight wool, with very subtle color shading. A 50-gram ball has 220 yards, and we are carrying lovely colourways.
Ethereal is is a new lace-weight yarn made of 80% merino and 20% Toraylon (acrylic). A 62.5-gram ball has 800 yards. Colors in stock include lilac/pink, olive/rust, and heather gray.
Kaleidoscope is an aran-weight self-striping 100% wool, that is not only stunning, it is feltable! A 100-gram ball has 174 yards. Kaleidoscope comes in 17 beautiful colourways.

Be Sweet Magic Ball is a hank of mixed yarns. 50 grams and 95 yards, of a mix of wool, mohair, boucle, and ribbon. The average gauge is 14 sts and 20 rows to 4" on a #9 needle. Using a larger needle, #11 or #13, you can make a scarf or cowl using one ball.
Colors in stock include Bouque (hot pink & lime), Capri (shades of blue), Ice Cream (baby pink, baby blue, and lavender), Lemonade (lime and yellow), Marthina's Magic (rust, charcoal, and black), and Silver Lining (black, gray, and white).

Also from Be Sweet is Bambino Taffy is a blend of 70% organic cotton and 30% bamboo. A 100-yard ball has 4 or 5 broad stripes of 4 or 5 different colors. There is a child's hat that you can make with one ball. The pattern is printed on the ball label.

Come see Elyse from Prism. It is 85% rayon, 15% metallic polyester. a 1-1/2-oz hank has 200 yards. The average gauge is 6 sts to an inch on a #4 needle, but it also works real well as a run along to give a plain yarn some punch. From Pagewood Farms we have 2 yarns. Tapestry is a hand-dyed thick-thin yarn. It is 100% wool that knits 5-1/2 sts to an inch on a #5 to #6 needle. A 4-oz hank has 396 yards.
We also have a very fun yarn called Fuzzy Purls. The "yarn" part is a thick-thin wool in natural colors, and the "fuzzy purls" are acrylic balls about 1" to 1-1/2" in diameter that look like balls of fur. A 70-yard hank will knit a scarf.

From Elegant Yarns are Athena and Aurora.
Athena is a lovely 100% lace-weight Merino. A 62.5-gram ball has 800 yards. Colors in stock include brown, ivory, sky blue, pink, black, & red.

Aurora is made of 43% Polyester, 32% Merino, and 25% Angora, and has gold flecks. A 62.5-gram ball has 290 yards, and we have it in 6 colors.
The recommended gauge is 28 sts and 32 rows to 4" on a #3 needle, but we have also done it at 18 sts to 4" on a #8.

New from Cascade are Epiphany, Lana Grande and Magnum.
Epiphany is a luxurious blend of 60% Royal Alpaca, 20% Cashmere, and 20% Silk.
A 100-gram hank has 273 yards, and the average gauge is 22 to 24 sts to 4" on a #5 to #6 needle. Colors in stock include navy, gold, gray, ivory, and black.

Lana Grande is a thick, 2-ply wool. A 100-gram ball has 87 yards. The average gauge is 2 to 3 sts to an inch on a #13 to #17 needle. Colors in stock include olive, hot pink, deep red, black, ivory.

Magnum is a very thick, single-ply wool. A 250-gram hank has 123 yards. The average guage is 2 sts to an inch on a #15 needle. Colors in stock include blue/turquoise, denim, pink, ivory, black, camel, olive, & cranberry.

Hand Painted Knitting Yarns brings us Giant Skeins.
These are skeins that are a combination of yarns. The individual skeins are tied together and all are dyed together, so that you have several different textures, but all the same colors. We have the 8-oz DK skeins which has 6 different yarns, each being 90 yards, total of 540 yards. The 16-oz Worsted-weight skeins which are 12 different yarns, each being 85 yards, total of 1,020 yards.

Ragazza Metoo Print is made of 80% Superwash Wool, 15% Acrylic, & 5% "Elite". The new colours for the Fortissima Colori sock yarns are vibrant jewel tones that are perfect for Fall. 75% Superwash Wool/25% Nylon, 7 1/2 sts per inch on a US 1-2 needle.

Pagewood Farms Flora at Gail Knits, Las Vegas

Pagewood Farms has Flora, a fun soft hands-spun chunky wool that has little needle-felted flowers sewn into the wool. As you knit, the flowers pop out making it look as if there are flowers sprinkled here and there on your knitted piece.
When knitted on large needles (17-19), the effect is funky and charming. It comes in 7 colours including Slate, Orchid, Black, Moss, Natural, and Tropical.
We have a house pattern for a one-ball fun scarf that knits up in a couple of hours!

The All-Season Yarns Are Here!

We always have a nice selection of perfect year-round yarns. One of them is Lana Grossa/Muench: Divino.
This is a thin ribbon-type blend of 75% cotton and 25% rayon with an average gauge of 20 sts & 26 rows to 4" on a #4 to #7 needle. A 50-gram ball has 121 yards. A woman's size medium sweater will use an average of 9 balls. The colors that we have in stock are black, red, lavender, cream, and dusty lt rose.

We also have new colors of Prism Wild Stuff and Neat Stuff. The new Wild Stuff color is Denali: shades of gray, beige and soft gold. The new Neat Stuff is Mallard: all shades of dark teal.
For both of these yarns, the average gauge is 4-1/2 sts to an inch on a #8 needle.

Lana Grossa Bolero is a cording that is silky feeling. It is made of 70% cotton and 30% nylon. A 50-gram ball has 88 yards. The average gauge is 19 sts and 24 rows to 4" on a #7 to #8 needle.

Rozetti/Univeral Yarns introduces Soft Payette. This is a soft, solid color yarn with sequins. It is 70% acrylic, 22% polyester, and 8% soft payettes. A 100-gram ball has 224 yards and average gauge si 21 sts and 26 rows to 4" on a #6 needle.

We have new colors of one of our customer favourites: Trendsetter Minestrone, a 75% nylon, 24% acrylic, 1% polyester. There are sections of curly ribbon, sections of soft nubs and sections of plain. From Swedish Imports/SandnesGarn we have Alpakka. This is 100% alpaca that is machine washable (dry flat), with an average gauge is 22 sts to 4" on a #6 needle. A 50-gram ball has 121 yards. The colors that we have in stock are Off-White, Heather Gray, Black, Tan, Brown, Red, Pink, Wine, Purple, Navy, Dusty Blue, and Hunter Green. There are also a couple of patterns available, a short-sleeved, v-neck, cable cardigan, sized from 34-1/2" to 41-3/4" that uses 7 to 10 balls, and a carcoat, sized from 34-1/2" to 40" that uses 12 to 14 balls.

From Berroco we have Sundae. This is 50% wool, 50% acrylic and knits at 10 sts and 12 rows to 4" on a #15 needle. Wonderful for quick hats and scarves. A 100-gram hank has 62 yards. From Classic Elite we have Portland Tweed, Minnow Merino and Giselle.
Portland Tweed is 50% virgin wool, 25% alpaca, 25% rayon, 50 grams, 120 yards with an average gauge of 4-1/2 sts to an inch on a #7. The colors that we have in stock are Gull Gray, Black Forest, Desert Sand, Major Brown, Best Teal, Ruby Red, and Folkstone.

Minnow Merino is a single-ply, very soft, 100% washable merino. The regular price is $8.50. Initially this yarn was designed for kidswear, but they have added some more colors. Skacel's popular sock yarn, Zaubercrazyball, is...well...crazy!! Two strands of the main ply have been dyed Zauberball at Gail Knits, Las Vegas

We have a very popular pattern for a loose-fitting cardigan with 3/4 sleeves. The extra-small uses 2 hanks, the 2x uses 4 hanks, and all other sizes use 3 hanks. Berroco Comfort is an incredible yarn that you have to feel to believe. It's probably the nicest acrylic yarn we've seen, and it's become the "go-to" yarn for worsted weight acrylic yarn.
Comfort is a 50/50 blend of Super Fine Acrylic and Super Fine Nylon. The worsted weight knits up at 4.5 - 5 sts to the inch (18 - 20 sts to 4") on #8 - #9 needles. Classic Elite Sprout is 100% organic cotton, light-weight, and knits at a fairly bulky 3-1/2 sts to an inch on a #10 needle. It's also machine washable and dryable, but take it out before it is fully dry.

The ball opens like a clamshell. The join and the inside of the sphere is very smooth, so that it can be used with center pull, or outside pull balls. The 5" spheres will hold most sizes of yarn balls, and the 7" spheres will hold your larger yarn balls. You really have to see and feel these spheres to appreciate them. They come in Clear and Pink, and for each Pink sphere purchased, the company donates to breast cancer research!

The yarn is mostly solid, with bumps of diffused black and white and a metallic thread runing throughout. The average gauge is 4 sts to an inch on a #10 needle. Organic Yarns are Here!!

More organic yarns are here! What's "organic" yarn? It's usually a yarn that made from fibres that haven't been chemically processed or if it's from a plant source, that source hasn't been grown using pesticides. (Sometimes when someone is allergic to a particular type of yarn, it might be the chemicals used to process it!) It could also mean that the yarn is grown in a way so as not to negatively impact the environment, i.e. water use, farming techniques, etc.
Sometimes organic yarns haven't been dyed. The colour you see is the natural colour of the wool. (Clever sheep!)

There is a pattern from Schaefer Yarns for the Laurel yarn: it's a little vest knitted, with the yarn doubled, in one piece from side-to-side, and depending upon the size, takes from 1-3 hanks of the yarn.

Organic Cottons, Cotton Blends...and Denise Singles in stock!

We now carry Marks & Kattens Eco Bomull. This yarn is certified organic cotton. The average gauge is 21 sts and 30 rows to 4" on a #6 needle. The yarn is cabled and really has a nice hand. It should show stitch work very well. A 50-gram ball has 131 yards and the colors currently in stock include Black, Oyster, Natural, White, Light Brown, Dark Brown, Yellow, Deep Red, Lilac, Navy and Deep Green (and more to come).

We also have Jarbo Soft Cotton. While this is not an organic cotton, it is economical. A 50-gram ball has 88 yards and the average gauge is 18 sts to 4" on a #8 needle. Soft Cotton is good for kid's wear, dishcloths, and spa accessories, and we have a wide color range: White, Black, Off-White, Red, Blue, Baby Pink, Yellow, Hot Pink, Lt Purple, Navy, Gray, Brown, Lilac, Orange, Teal, Lime, Green, Baby Blue, Eggplant, and Taupe (and more to come).

Classic Elite Yarns (CEY) Provence, the 100% Eqyptian Cotton comes in a plethora of colours, and now we've ordered them all.
A wonderful new yarn from CEY is Silky Alpaca Lace, a 70/30 gossamer blend of alpaca and silk. We have many colours of this luxurious yarn.
We also have some exciting new pattern books from CEY for Spring/Summer featuring Provence, BamBoo and Premiere: Summer Book 1, Summer Book 2, Make It Modern, and Curvy Knits.
Classic Elite Silk was a new yarn for CEY last Spring and we have in some new colors. The yarn is a 50/30/20 blend of cotton, silk, and nylon. A 50-gram has 135-yards and the average gauge is 5 sts to an inch on a #6 needle. A woman's sweater will use an average of 8 to 12 balls. The new colors include Cinnamon, Oatmeal, Wave Break (very light blue), Old Lilac and Rhubarb.

From Mondial: Lucente, a 50/50 cotton/viscose blend that knits at 20 sts/22 rows=4" on a size 7-8 needle; Splendid, a chunky cotton with a gauge of 14 sts/18 rows = 4" on a
10-10 1/2 needle; Serenata, 50/50 cotton/viscose & poly that knit at 20s sts/22 rows=4" on size 7-8; and Diamante, a polymid/polyester blend that knits up at 16 sts/22 rows=4".

We have Earth-friendly recycled silk. Not only is it a lovely yarn, it is the perfect way to Think Green with knitting! The yarn is made from recycled silk saris, and part of the proceeds go to help the women and children of Nepal.

The original recycled silk comes in hanks of 150 yards, approx 150 grams; the new DK version comes in hanks of 150 yards, approx 80 grams. We also have Sarong, which is a recycled rayon, either with light background called Dawn; or a dark background called Dusk.
And we carry all of the colors of Springy Capelli. This is a man-made fiber that you can run with either of these recycled yarn, or almost any other yarn. It is very thin, 350 yards to 30 grams.

Alpaca Sox is a 60/20/20 Alpaca/Merino/Nylon blend that knits up at 8sts=1" on a size 2 needle. It comes in 100 gram hanks that contain 450 yards.
Wisdom Marathon is a self-striping sock yarn and the colourways represent the Marathons that are run in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego and San Francisco.
We're carrying 2-3 colourways for each city.
Luxurious Frog Tree Chunky Alpaca knits up at 4sts=1" on a size 10 needle. A 50 gram ball has 54 yards, and though we're carrying 7 colours, many more are available.
