Just about 1 mile east of our old location, we're approx 7 milles west of the Strip, in the Lakes Pacific Business Center, about a half block east of Durango. Our new space is on the north side of Sahara, across the street from Smart & Final, and in the same center as the famous Capriotti's Sandwich Shoppe. (Yum!)

Hello, Spring!
Spring has sprung in the Desert!
The temperature is noticably warmer with highs in the low to mid 70s, and lows in the low 60s.
Heavy Winter coats are being put away, jackets are for the early mornings.
Knitting is Year-round and the runways are filled with pretty laces and cables. Cowls are the still the hot accessory, but gone are the bulky wools, and lightweight yarns are taking their place. DK and sockweights/fingerweights and even laceweight cowls are perfect for Spring.
We continue to have classe in the Moebius or Infinity circles that can be worn long or doubled about the neck.
"Waterfall" cardigans are almost a classic because they are complimentary to pretty much every body type.
Lace is still popular, and not just lace. Lace with beads! Come take a class in this fun technique!

As always, we feature our staple 100% wools and wool blends, and also eco-friendly natural fibers such as cottons, linen, bamboo and silk  available for everyone to enjoy, whether you're allergic to wool or not.

The Pantone 2013 Color of the Year is Emerald: Insight, Balance and Harmony.

No Sheep for You!!
OK. You've got The Bug.
You love to knit, but you have--or someone you're knitting for has--a sensitivity to wool. Or think that wool is "too scratchy".
Fear not. For the sensitive skinned, there are the merino wools and the luxurious cashmeres. And for those who are allergic to wools, there are some beautiful yarns available that don't come from animals!
Yarns have long been made from synthetics, but now bamboo, silk, rayon, soy, hemp...even corn and seaweed are being spun into wonderous yarns of all weights.
And speaking of synthetics, gone are the days of the rough, squeaky acrylics. There are now synthetic yarns that are amazingly soft...and machine washable, too!
And if you like your wools blended, there are many amazing combinations of wool with cotton, silk, nylon and other fibers natural and synthetic.
And, by the way, for those who are sensitive to metals, there are non-metal knitting needles of materials ranging from plastic to woods to tempered glass!
