Fiamma Garter Stitch Vest

This vest is perfect for the new knitter who wants to make their first garment, it is also a good choice for the experienced knitter who is looking for flattering vertical lines.
The vest is worked side to side in garter stitch. There is some increasing and decreasing at the shoulder for some gentle shaping, but no shaping at the armholes or the neck. The depth of the armholes and the depth of the slits (if you want them) are determined as you sew the vest together. There are only 4 seams, one for each shoulder and one for each side.
I held my vest closed with a shawl pin. You might want to use a belt, or if you want to button it, instructions for buttonholes are provided. Give this vest a try, have fun.
